I was born July 4, 1955 in Knoxville, Tn. In 1996 I moved to Chattanooga, Tn where in 2002 I met Shihan Reynolds. Over the next 2 years we became good friends and to my great surprise he gradually made it known to me his involvement in the martial arts. It was then I expressed my desire to become his student when possible.
In February of 2005 Shihan Reynolds opened the Black Dragon Dojo in Chattanooga. The night he opened I was there and have been there ever since. My daughter Lisa and I trained with Shihan and learned many things from him. It is through his teaching and guidance I have become Sensei Dan. I hope to follow his example and be able to teach whoever desires to learn and to learn whatever is taught to me.
